With this single release, Homemadesoul covers one of his many favorite songs from the Philadelphia soul singer, Musiq Soulchild. "Babygirl" is an almost obscure track on Musiq's 2002 release, "Juslisen", but it stands out in Homemadesoul's musical taste as the perfect conversation song. "Its not telling the story, your actually listening to the story or the convo as it happens. Musiq was able to do this seemingly effortlessly", says Homemadesoul.

Although Musiq Soulchild has garnered much attention from his musical career, platinum albums, Grammy nominations, and more, Homemadesoul has began a journey to highlight some of the hidden gems that Musiq has offered the world through his songwriting and storytelling.
